Hi All.
Firstly, love the plugin. Been working fantastically well for me.
I recently upgraded to a new server which thankfully improved the speed of the majority of my site. I have noticed that the page that easily takes the longest to load on my site is the search page. Once the search page itself loads it’s back to being fast (when using the queries and so on).
I’m guessing the search page may have to load every single post when someone clicks on it? If so, I’m worried it’s only going to get worse from here on out. My website has a front-end post submission form so my site is getting multiple new posts per day.
Any advice?
The search page itself is here:

I have enabled Transients in the settings.
Trevor(Private) November 7, 2017 at 7:38 am #140412You are correct that, as the number of posts increases, things will slow down. Also, the complexity of the search form also has an effect. A fully optimised server solution often helps a lot, but that depends a lot on your choice of hosting. Not matter how fast the server (by hardware specs) is, the server stack (the way it is configured) can have a HUGE impact. See this article for WPMUDev:

My own testing has tended to confirm their findings. I used my own dedicated server (with impressive specs) as the benchmark. I have now stopped using that server and switched over. Some things I haven’t come to terms with yet, but the speed difference is as they said.
What we are doing is completely rebuilding the caching system for V3, due out in 2018, so that also should help.

10 seconds was even being generous! If you aren’t logged in, it loads faster due to being cached by wp-super cache but most of my users are logged in ones (as they upload and create these posts through front-end).
Here is the page in question: https://ygoprodeck.com/deck-search/
It has a search box and 5 drop downs. Most of these drop downs are simple but some contain a lot of data. The “users” drop down for example is very large. Would this possibly cause issues?
