Tagged: archive method, same page results
Hi all,
Great Plug-in- it has made my life a lot easier.
I was using Shortcodes display method before, but has to change it to archive display in order to display the results more attractively.
However, with the archive technique, how do display the search results on the same page. It seems to direct to always another URL when I switch to Archive method.
Archive method always has its own page/url – which you can define by setting the slug option under the Display Results tab.
This is then the page you should link to in your navigation etc and treat as the search page.
Does that make sense?
If you want to use ajax, and have it all load in the same screen without refreshing, from anywhere on your site (like the movies demo), then you must untick “only use ajax on results page” and ensure the results container CSS selector is present throughout your site and correctly configured.
Thanks
In the Display Results tab
It is only visible if you have set the display method to Archive mode though.
Thanks
