    Hi,

We purchased your plugin and we are having an issue with it.
As soon as you activate the plugin, the initial GET request on our shop page increases significantly.

Here is some data that I have collected:

    Plugin off
    Test 1 – 5222ms
    Test 2 – 6830ms
    Test 3 – 5930ms
    Plugin on
    Test 1 – 19832ms
    Test 2 – 20284ms
    Test 3 – 19975ms
    Plugin off
    Test – 4619ms

I have also got a development area for this website and the results are similar (In the case of an increase of time, this development site is on another server that is not as powerful).

Here are some of those results.

    Plugin off
    Test – 17771ms
    Test – 19550ms
    Test – 20122ms
    Plugin on
    Test – 38376ms
    Test – 36297ms
    Test – 73617ms

This suggests that its definitely something to do with this plugin, but what is the question?

I have looked into disabling the heartbeat, I have altered the settings for Lazy load & Use Background Processes and I have even turned off CloudFlare to see if that was causing the issue.

Do you have an suggestions as to what we can do? If you need any more information, please do ask.

Thanks for your time and we hope to hear back from you soon.

    Hi Tim

Do you have “auto count” enabled? Can you disable it and take a look again?

Auto count adds the most overhead, and with large databases it can come crawling to a halt – it works pretty reliably up to around 4000 posts.

Roughly how many posts do you have in the shop?

    Thanks

    Hi Ross,

I’ve looked in the form on the testing setup we have and this setting is off.

The URL of this domain (For the live version) is http://www.maxvinylrecords.co.uk and you’ll quickly notice we have in effect 25,000 + posts.

The other thing to note is that even simply activating the plugin at the moment will cause a slow down.

Hope this helps and please let me know if I can help you with anything else.

    Hi,

Just wondering if you’re are able to help us find a solution? If not we may need to find another option for our needs as this is a live website needing this feature ASAP.

    Thanks in advance.
