Hello, I’ve added a search form to my homepage and using the shortcode method to display search results at present, the website Theme is Beaver Builder and I used Beaver Themer throughout.
I found a post on your support here: https://support.searchandfilter.com/forums/topic/second-search-comes-up-blank/#post-160521
Problem is I do not understand how to do the same, perhaps there is a newer method for using Beaver Themer with Search and Filter?
I look forward to hearing from you.
many thanks
ollie
Trevor(Private) March 23, 2018 at 4:08 pm #168034I have spent some time with another user of this combination of theme and page builder, and we simply cannot get the grid to work. However, a list view (one post per row) seems to work fine. So, it rather depends as to whether you are using a grid or list view.
The alternative is to use the Shortcode display results method in Search & Filter. It seems to be related to the theme, rather than to the page builder.

I’m extremely keen to get this to work, currently I’m using the shortcode method and searching x5 post types.
I look forward to hearing from you.
thanks
Ollie
Trevor(Private) March 28, 2018 at 9:34 am #168692I don’t have it set up on my server, so I can’t give you that detail. The only information is what is in that post linked above (and others). This search on our forum will give you the links to other threads:

Anonymous(Private) March 28, 2018 at 10:38 am #168716I do not fully understand the solution by reading through those posts, Beaver support do have a method but can only get it to work on x1 post type per form, which is no good for me. I’ve resorted to going back to the Archive method which does work, could I get some help from you how to display specific details on the results as I’m not a developer.
My form is here: davan-demo.redthreadwebdev.site
If you have a look you’ll see I’m filtering vehicles, I’d like to add the filter to the top of the Archive page and add “Price” and “Berths” to the list of results.
I guess that it involves overiding like I found in the tutorial here: https://www.designsandcode.com/documentation/search-filter-pro/search-results/using-a-shortcode/#Customising_the_Results
Could you provide an example of how the template file should written?
thank you

I’m going through old tickets and have come across this! So sorry for the delays.
Let me know if you are still working on this, I will be looking at testing this over the next few days, unless you get back to me before then.
Thanks
Anonymous(Private) May 1, 2018 at 9:37 am #175075Hi Ross, great to hear back from you. Yes we are still wanting to integrate with Beaver Builder’s post grid. Trevor offered excellent support and he introduced me to the pre_get_posts or something like that.
This got the search results to appear inside of a Beaver page but only as a default list and we didn’t have a solution for displaying post information. Ideally we’d like to use the Beaver Grid which features ‘Custom Layout’ and Beaver shortcodes to display content.I look forward to any developments that get us closer to our goal.
many thanks
