Hi,
We would like to use the Divi Theme Builder template we created for the Search Results page as the display method for our Search Results form. What’s the best way to configure that?
We are using the Divi FilterGrid plugin to display the posts (since we needed to show custom fields and sort by a custom field), so unfortunately we can’t use the standard Divi Blog Module on the Search results page.
Here is the site:

Trevor(Private) June 30, 2020 at 10:08 pm #250747Assuming that you have the form already on the results page (and if you don’t, do place it there) …
Change the form to ‘Custom’ display method. Enter the results page URL in full.
Switch OFF Ajax for now.
Then, just before the grid widget, add this shortcode (it will not add any content to the page):
[searchandfilter id="63301" action="filter_next_query"]
The purpose of the shortcode is to bind the form before it to the grid after it.
That might work.
Then see if you can switch Ajax on, set the Ajax Container, and see if that works. If the grid uses Salvattore or Masonry, it is possible it won’t work properly with Ajax.

I’ve tried the setup you recommended and that (mostly) worked really well!
Here is the search results page:
https://m4ranch.flywheelsites.com/property-search/The results load correctly on the first page of results, but if you use the pagination to go to the 2nd page of results, than it loads additional results that should not be there…
Could that be an issue with the Ajax Pagination? I have it set to “Normal” and the selector as “.pagination a”.
Thank you!
Trevor(Private) July 1, 2020 at 8:51 am #250787That looks correct, but, as I said, Ajax might not work. The plugin that you are using for the grid must be doing something unusual for the pagination in its own function.
You may have to talk to that plugin’s author and see if they are willing to help, but they might not be able to.
Our development resources are heavily focused right now on finishing the coding for V3 (due in a few months), so we cannot support this third party grid plugin further than I have in this post. It is something we will look at for you once we have V3 released, so please keep an eye out for that an contact us at that time.
