You did click the rebuild cache button, yes?

    yes, but nothing happens.

    OK.

I will need to log in and see what is going on. The devs may need to get involved, so as well as admin logins, do you have ftp logins/details?

You reverted it back to the old version, but both are installed. How did you manage that? It should not be possible to have both installed?

I didn’t install both. When I installed new one I just copied the old one into a separate folder. So only one is installed at a time. Since it’s a live site I couldn’t leave it at its current not working stage so I renamed back the new one and put back the old one.

You can do as I did for testing. Rename 1.4.3 to search-filter-pro-143 and the new one to search-filter-pro. Then do the testing, if it doesn’t work you can do the restore via Updraft plugin and restore to the last backup from May 26, 2016 6:54.

So you were not able to find anything so far?

    Ahhhhh

By copying it to another folder inside the plugins folder it remains active. Installing the new plugin then would have caused many problems. Essentially, WordPress will load anything it fins in the plugin folder, thus causing Search and Filter code to be loaded twice.

If you need to test it, you should instead create a staging site and test it there.

No no, I first de-activated plugin before renaming it.

I do have a testing site which I gave you in my first message and it works wonderful. I have no idea why it’s not working on the live site. Everything is the same except 20-30 more posts.

Yes, the plugin may be de-activated, but WordPress still runs through the code. Instead you must move the folder into another folder, like wp-content

OK, thank you for the tip, although I never encountered any such problems before this.
Anyway, so any other ideas on what could be wrong with broken caching?
