Hello !
My site is in English. I have one search form. I am using Polylang. I want to translate the form to German. I have read your help (https://www.designsandcode.com/documentation/search-filter-pro/3rd-party/wpml/) on translating but am a little stuck.
1. In the “Duplicate your search form for each language” section it states “Edit your Search Form in the primary language of your site. Then on the edit screen duplicate the current Search Form for each language – this copies over the structure of your fields & settings in to the selected languages”
The screenshot may by from WPML (I dont know) but I dont see that when I am editing my Search Form. I have a + button I can click which seems to create a “duplicate” form for German BUT
a) There is no copy of the structure of the fields & settings. I basically have to fully re-create the form. Surely this cannot be correct?
2. Lower down on your help page it states “And select translate independently:” and you show a screen shot. I dont see that at all!
Please can you give me some clear advice for translating with PolyLang? All information would be gratefully received.
I would really like to translate my search form! As always, thanks for a great plugin and excellent support.

Yes, all was translated – the posts, the ACF fields, the taxonomies. You can see this by looking at any post in German (eg https://stunninghikes.com/schweiz/sanfte-huegel-im-appenzeller-land/) – look in the right sidebar and the meta-data of the hike is in German.
I have created a search form “in German” (https://stunninghikes.com/wp-admin/post.php?post=4915&action=edit) which is linked to the equivalent English search (https://stunninghikes.com/wp-admin/post.php?post=4077&action=edit).
Go to this post (https://stunninghikes.com/schweiz/sanfte-huegel-im-appenzeller-land/) and look to the right sidebar. At the difficulty icon (the green triangle) you will see the difficulty is shown (it says Einfach and Leichte Anstieg). Now scroll down to the search (Wanderung Suchen). In the section “Schiewrigkeit” you will now that all “difficulties” show (0). WHY????
Hope you can help! This is one of the last few things I need to fix on the site.
You still have access under the same user name and password – let me know if you cannot remember.
Thanks
Alastair
