I really want it to look like this, http://www.selvbestemmelse.no/forside-for-registrerte/ but it doesn’t seem to work because the blog theme i chose for the page seems to be overriding search & filter pro.
Ok, with the settings as you have them (using a shortcode) S&F uses its own (basic) template, which you can modify to look like the theme template. Instructions are here:
