Hi,
The taxonomy that I’m try to display isn’t showing up in the search function. Instead something weird is happening and it’s displaying the taxonomy “link” “quote” and “video” which have zero posts and aren’t event Tags on my site. It was working last night but now isn’t so not sure what’s gone wrong. When I add Taxonomy in general settings it’s displaying as “Taxonomy: Format” , and I didn’t notice the added word Format before, I suspect that’s a clue.
The categories search functionality is working fine.
Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you
Ross Moderator(Private) December 13, 2015 at 10:38 pm #32113Hey Neil
Does your taxonomy appear under the tags, categories & taxonomies tab in the settings box?
And what happens when you look at your taxonomy field, and select the Taxonomy: dropdown?
Thanks

Yes, the taxonomy appears under the tags, categories and taxonomy tab, I’ve added the ID’s and I’ve tried both include and exclude and they don’t seem to be pulling in correctly.
Here’s a screenshot of what happens when I open the Taxonomy dropdown, if any other info would be helpful let me know. http://www.naturalstep.ca/sites/default/files/search_and_filter_screenshot.jpg
Thanks
Ross Moderator(Private) December 15, 2015 at 11:52 am #32231Hi Neil
I seems like we’re getting a little confused, so the taxonomy dropdown I meant was this:
Do you see your taxonomy in that list, what happens when you select it? Because I keep seeing your taxonomy field is set to Format but I’m assuming this is not what you want.
Thanks
Anonymous(Private) December 15, 2015 at 12:02 pm #32232Hey, Okay, no I don’t see my taxonomy in the list, what I see instead is these 4 options:
– Format
– Slider Locations
– Project Categories
– Project AttributesYeah I don’t think my taxonomy should be set to “Format” but I don’t see the other options. Thoughts?
Thanks
Ross Moderator(Private) December 15, 2015 at 12:14 pm #32235Can you show me a screen grab of the “tags, categories and taxonomies” tab, and tell me which taxonomy in that last is the one you want to use?
You mention above
Yes, the taxonomy appears under the tags, categories and taxonomy tab
Thanks
Anonymous(Private) December 15, 2015 at 2:15 pm #32246Initial problem solved, I should’ve been using tag instead of taxonomy, sorry about that.
On another note, I’m using categories and tags, and my search function is returning zero results when a piece of content is tagged but not assigned to a category, and then when a category is added it returns the proper results.
Thanks for all the help.
Ross Moderator(Private) December 16, 2015 at 5:03 pm #32336It sounds like some potential conflict in settings in the “tags, categories & taxonomies” tab
Try clearing out any settings here and test again.
Thanks
