Hi Ross,
Got a filter for a property website and some taxonomies work and some do not? Very strange.
If you have a look at this link: http://towncountry.betastaging.co.uk/property (still very much in development) and select the filters at the top some work and some do not. For example Property Type works and Property style does not but they both update the URL.
I have checked the posts to check they have the taxonomies on them and they do?
Hi Graeme
Certainly seems strange.
I had a look but got a password prompt on every action I took on the site, cancelling seemed ok, but certainly seems odd behaviour, not sure if you can remove that while we test?
Anyway, I’m wondering, what could be different between this taxonomy and the other ones.
So there are two things that come to mind:
1) How are you creating your taxonomies? If you are creating them via custom code, when are they being initialised (on which WP hooks)?
2) There could be some condition in your results template, that tells it show a default set of posts / or a custom loop under certain conditions. So when the specific taxonomy is used it doesn’t affect the results at all.
Could you also try enabling “show count” for the property_style
field which is shown under the heading “Location”?
Thanks
