Tag Option Generates No Results

Hello,

I have search and Search and Filter Pro installed on a development site here: http://archive.coco-net.org/toolbox/

Although the search and category filter options are working correctly, whenever a tag is selected it generates no results even though the tag list shows a count of results the output always says “No Results Found”

I have read the documentation and experimented with various options but I have not been able to resolve this problem.

I created a test post & tag and you’re right – it doesn’t seem to be working correctly.

Its very strange as I haven’t come across this problem before – and usually the built in tags would be fine.

I would suggest that a plugin, or even your theme is interfering with the search results and making some modifications when searching by tag…

What I would usually suggest is to disable all your plugins to debug where the error lies, and even try another theme – but this can be a daunting process.

What I would suggest as a workaround would be to create a custom taxonomy to replace the tags option – a taxonomy behaves just the same as categories and tags, even in the WP admin

You can use a plugin such as this one – https://wordpress.org/plugins/custom-post-type-ui/ – to create your custom taxonomy and attach it to the “post” post type, then in S&F, you can add a taxonomy field to your form.
