    Don’t ask me why, but a client of mine would like to disable the ability to see all items under a certain CPT, and instead would like to display already filtered results with pre-selected taxonomy items already chosen. I don’t see an obvious way of doing that via the Search Form UI – is this even possible with a custom results page loading results with AJAX?

    On the Tags, Categories and Taxonomies settings tab of the form, you can ‘Include’ the terms you want, and that will limit the results to posts with one or more of the terms you select.
