Hi, great plugin but I’m having a really hard time figuring out how to make my search form pull up only certain pages in the results. I have the right shortcodes in the sidebar and in the main content areas respectively.
I’ve watched the demo already but it’s not helping me understand where to set up the taxonomies in my pages I want to show up in search results.
There’s a site other than mine that is getting the results I want with the same plugin. Can you help me set up my first search form?
Hey Courtney
So you’re looking at how to add taxonomies to your posts, so that they may then be used for searching?
Basically this is something you can do with WordPress code or with a plugin (there are many out there)…
This post explains a little on how to do it:
http://www.wpbeginner.com/wp-tutorials/create-custom-taxonomies-wordpress/
However I would just say, go and download this plugin – https://wordpress.org/plugins/custom-post-type-ui
Once you’ve set up your taxonomies you can use them in exactly the same way as tags or categories – you’ll see them on the post edit screen.
Thanks
