Set filter with one set portfolio category

Hello. Is it possible to set up a search form that filters according to portfolio tags and categories, but within one specific (portfolio) category?

To explain, I have portfolio categories based on region (e.g. Africa, Asia, Europe, etc), and also portfolio categories on specialisations (e.g. Agrobiodiversity, Access to food resources, Advocacy, etc). For my Search Form, I would like to search within portfolios that have one specific region (e.g. Africa) only, with two search filters: (1) portfolio tags, and (2) portfolio categories (on specialisations).

Is this possible, and if yes, how do I do this?

Is this on a page you created, or a portfolio archives page (not a page as such), or a portfolio category archives page?

You are searching only the Portfolio post type, so it is possible to use the Post Type Archive method, set as seen here:

Note that the Ajax Container might be wrong, depending on the actual results page content. The theme you are using, I think uses Masonry to make its grid, so that might be an issue. You may have to test it first with Ajax off. If that is an issue, let me have a live link/URL to your search page so I can take a look?

Thanks, Trevor. I have changed the settings according to your screenshots. However, I still do not know what I’m supposed to do to set the filter according to my needs.

Referring back to http://dev.globalenvironments.org/latin-america-and-the-caribbean/, I would like the search (of selected tags and categories) to be limited to portfolios that have the Member Profiles > Latin America & the Caribbean portfolio category. Similarly, on the other region pages (e.g. http://dev.globalenvironments.org/africa-sans-north/), I would like the search to be limited to portfolios that have the Member Profiles > Africa sans North portfolio category; i.e. in this case, results should NOT include those that are categorised as Latin America & the Caribbean (and other regions).

I hope my point is coming across well.
