    Hi,
I created a search page with the free version of Search & Filter, Advanced custom fileds (ACF) and WP Extended Search (by 5um17) plugins to obtain the ability to search results with (important!) keyword not mandatory (I can search just activating some filter like post category, tags, project category/tags).
The search was correctly extended to media files, included the fields created by ACF.

It worked perfectly, but I needed to add more filters (some of the custom filed applied to the media items) so I bought the PRO version of the filter that manages them too. But now I can’t obtain any result. Even the easiest search form gives a “no results”.

the shortcut for the not “pro” plugin was:
    [searchandfilter fields=”search,category,post_tag,project_category,project_tag,year” post_types=”all” headings=”Keyword,Category,Category Tags,Multimedia,Multimedia Tags,Year” types=”select,select,checkbox,select,checkbox,select” submit_label=”Search”]

I just needed to add 3-4 more filter based on media.

If needed I can provide login access.

    Thanks, best regards
    Nadia

The Search & Filter Pro Text Search field uses the standard WordPress search, so looks only in the Post Title and Content. To help you control this better, on the form’s Advanced settings tab you will see 2 settings for Relevanssi.

The documentation for this is here:

    https://www.designsandcode.com/documentation/search-filter-pro/3rd-party/relevanssi/

You would need to install and activate the free Relevanssi plugin as well.

You would need to investigate whether Relevanssi can offer you the options that you need.

Relevanssi must be set up as you want, and then you must and build its index (make sure it is indexing the desired post types, custom fields AND any taxonomy that you want to search).

But the not “pro” filter searched in that fields too… The developer of relevanssi wrote that it should not work without any keyword (feature that i need) so I think I can’t use that plugin. But if it worked with you search & filter, isn’t possible to reproduce it with the pro too?

    Thanks

The Free and Pro versions of our plugin are very different and have incompatible code bases. Please give what I suggested a try.

You do not need the Pro version of Relevanssi, the free version should work just fine, I think.
