Hmmm it looks like there might be issues with multiple forms on the page..
Can you do a test with one form on its own?
I’ll also look into from my side – I know there can be issues if the same form is places multiple times, but these look like different search forms.
Thanks
Ross Moderator(Private) September 23, 2015 at 11:52 am #25541Hi Jeff
The only thing I noticed recently is I had two of the same saerch form on a page and neither worked, and had a really strange bug like this.
Can you try creating a new form on its own page (with no other forms around) and test to see if my theory is correct?
Also, could you provide a link in a private message?
Thanks
Anonymous(Private) September 23, 2015 at 11:56 am #25544Ok, I created a new page and added the same forms there. They work. I found out that the previous pages are not normal pages but archive pages.(category pages)
So the form is not working from archive page but works when put on a standard page.
Any thoughts?
Ross Moderator(Private) September 23, 2015 at 12:01 pm #25547Have you tried re-saving each of your search forms and double checking that all the settings in the “Display Results” tab are correct?
I’ll do a test locally soon. So what you are saying is, if there are multiple search forms in the sidebar (but on an archive) then they don’t work correctly.
But if you access a page then they work correctly?
Can you send the link to this test page that works and I’ll do some debugging?
Thanks
Anonymous(Private) September 23, 2015 at 12:29 pm #25561Yes, I double checked again. I had not changed any settings in the display results tab any ways before or after the upgrade.
The test page I created is located at http://www.aquateck.com/test-page/
I can share the login with you if you want.
Another issue, I noticed is a notice coming up “connection lost…” Also, suddenly I am getting 508 error on the server. Is the background process of building cache responsible for it? Could this be related to the other issue as well?
Ross Moderator(Private) September 23, 2015 at 12:37 pm #25564Ahhh its possible, login details would be handy, I poke around and see what I can find.
Thanks
Ross Moderator(Private) September 23, 2015 at 2:16 pm #25577I am juggling a fair few threads atm – I will look asap.
Thanks
