Search Results Returning Random Results

I have my search box setup to search only posts and pages. It works okay some of the time but other times it returns completely random pages that have nothing to do with the search topic.

Also I just noticed that post authors are not searchable. How would I set this up?

I see your issue, check the URL when you submit the search form, it redirects back to WPEngine!

I think you need to update your Results URL 😉

Also what do you mean RE post authors, you would like to search their name directly from the search box?

Thanks haha. I fixed the URL but it seems the results are still random. Try searching something like “Angstrom” The first time and it retrieves irrelevant results for me and then it seems to be okay for any other searches.

I would like to search blog post author names in the main content search and have it retrieve posts by that author. My client remembers this working before the latest update from your plugin.

I need to use custom code (instead of the widget) because I’ve added “isp_ignore” to the input.

Can you give me the code to use that would make this work with the isp_ignore added?

Its just that the script is not included on the page when it should be – are you doing anything like wp_deregister_script on S&F?

It seems that way because on the actual S&F results page it seems to load the script fine.
