Forums › Forums › Search & Filter Pro › Search results not displaying when I add new taxonomy
Hello,
I just created a new taxonomy and tried updating the search & filter pro template to include it, but when I search using this taxonomy it doesn’t display any results. The plugin already uses one custom taxonomy, and that one seems to work without an issue. But adding any search terms to this new taxonomy is what is causing the issue. For my display results, I am applying the “using a shortcode” option. Any help would be much appreciated!
Thanks in advance
Hi Eugene
Can you explain what you mean by:
But adding any search terms to this new taxonomy is what is causing the issue.
Are you using a search field to find taxonomy terms?
Thanks
I figured out the issue. When I set up the new taxonomy I left a space between the two words which make up the slug (i.e., instead of using a slug “firstwordsecondword” my slug was “firstword secondword”. This is what caused the issue during search. I revised the taxonomy so that the slug was only one word and this resolved the issue
Ahhh great thanks, I really should add a check in S&F or a warning for this 🙂
