I’m not sure whats going on here, but it seems like your whole site is slow?
It takes about 5 seconds to load any page the first time – so it looks like it is your site that is slow?
I’m only looking at this as an option, because regardless of the overhead of searching, the number of items you are searching for a so low that it should be quick on any setup with so few searchable items.
Once I’ve visited a page once, then when reloading it is lightning fast – this seems to me a caching system of yours that has kicked in.
Thanks

I’m also checking the general site speed, optimizing image, etc.. but I’m not sure if this would make the search faster.
Thanks

The plugin can’t make your website faster than it goes.
So if your site is taking 5+ seconds to load page, then there is no way S&F can do searches faster than that – S&F can’t go faster than WordPress on your hosting platform goes.
It sounds like the limiting factor is your hosting setup / environment – or possibly even something in your WordPress install slowing it down.
For my demo I’m with a pretty good host – but its a shared environment.
I’ve also tested across multiple budget shared hosting environements and found the websites to load faster than yours and the searches are also considerably faster.
What I would do is create a clean install on your host – and take a look at loading times.
Does it still take 5+ seconds to load a regular page? Then you have problem with your host.
If not, then it will be some other plugin or theme that is slowing things down, so add them in one by one and you will find the culprit to your slow site speeds.
Thanks
