    Is there any way to make the search box search on custom fields?

    Yes. To extend the search box to other data, you need to install the free Relevanssi plugin, find the section for custom field and put all in that option setting. Make sure it is indexing all the posts and custom posts, taxonomies you need and build the index. In S&F Pro, on the advanced tab, enable support for Relevanssi.
