I will explain my setup first so it’s easy to understand my problem.

I have a custom post type that is the base for my search forms. Then I have categories and sub-categories and a few taxonomies fot the custom posts. My posts only have one category or one sub-category but have multiple taxonomies.

I created various search forms, one for each category and sub category so I can have more filtering options, for this I went to “Tags, Categories and Taxonomies” and Included for each one the category or sub-category I wanted to run. If I go to the page it’s all ok and it appears to be just like I want, just the results from that categoty appear on the page, the problem stars when I want to filter something, like a taxonomy, the search form will bring me results that apply for that taxonomy from all other search forms and not just the ones that apply for that category that the search form was designed for.

I hope you could understand my problem, is this the way it’s supposed to work? Am I missing someting?
    Thank You.

I figured out another part of the problem, I noticed that when I apply filter in one search form and the results come mixed from all the categories my page changes, for example I filtered from a search form that was in http://www.site.com/page1/page2/ and the results come mixed and in http://www.site.com/page1/, where I have other search form, I tried the page without parent but its the same, they all go back to that page with that search form! Which by the way was my first search form to be created, can the problem come from that? Am I messing some options?

The only solution i can see is to have taxonomies separated for each and every search form I have and that is not a good pratice in my opinion…

I really need some help on this one! Thank you!

    Hi Andre

That is correct, if you want to have a search form to search inside a specific taxonomy term, then you must “include” only that taxonomy in the search form editor – and you must set each one up separately.

I’m looking to add this as a feature in the next release.

    Thanks
