Another small issue – the author count does not reflect the filtered count in the Search Form UI
The settings are correct I am pretty sure on the form – General section:

There is only one post that appears here but the author counts aren’t reflecting that.

This is a known issue, and is because of the way we search by author. We do not actually search the user table, where the authors are stored. We plan to change this in V3. Until then the only way around this is to have a custom field attached to the post that actually holds the author name, and search that instead.
