Hello,
I use the WooCommerce Catalog Visibility plugin to hide certain product categories from users who are not logged in to comply with state regulations on a certain controlled product. I like Search & Filter, but I noticed that when I use it, items in categories that are set to be hidden to logged out users are not visible in search results to logged in users. The product category is not visible in the Search & Filter search form either.
It appears that the WooCommerce Product Search plugin handles this well, but it is far from being as robust as Search & Filter. I would like to move back to Search & Filter (I have two paid licenses), but would definitely need this to work as I expect it to in order to use Search & Filter again.
Any recommendations?
Thanks!
Anonymous(Private) July 18, 2019 at 5:30 am #216544Hi Trevor. I stepped away from this because I did setup a fresh site and was not able to replicate this issue. I am coming back to it now and have troubleshooted my main site again. I discovered that If I created a new product in that category, it would show up in the search results. When I switched it to variable type product, however, it would then disappear from the search results. Switching it back to Simple-type product does not work to make it show up in search results again. I have disabled all plugins but woocommerce and search and filter and can confirm this. I am at a loss and could really use some help here.
