Search doesn't pull images

Hi,

I have a photography based site and would like for the search results to include a thumb of an images. The results come up correctly with the writing but no visuals. On each page of my pages there is an image put with Thrive content builder (no feature image) and a gallery input by short code. Is there a way for the results to pick up an image?

Second of all, when a user presses on one of the search results it correctly links them to another page, however when they back up, the query in the search form stays the same but the results on the page disappear to a default. Is there a way for them to stay the same or maybe link to the result by opening a new window so the results stay the same?

Re your points:

1) Thumbnail – to add/change the image you will need to customise your results template:

Then, you will need to find a way to get this image and put it in – I would check with your theme author the best way to extract the info for use in a regular template / wordpress loop – I’m afraid I’m not familiar with the Thrive content builder.

2) Try enable “bookmarkable URLs” – however there are some fixes/improvements being made which will be in the next release – out in the next month.

Bookmarkable URLs worked! As far as the pulling images, I found a way around it. I have schema as my theme and schema doesn’t recognize featured image on default pages, only on parallax ones. So I just added a featured images thumbnail to each page and now the search result pull them fine.

I am waiting for your upgrade though, especially regarding hiding the non relevant drop-down options when it doesn’t apply to previous filter.
