Search by Custom Field Date

Hello,
is it possible to search by custom field date?
It works perfectly if you want to search by Post Date, but I need to do now is search by date created as a custom field,
Any suggestion?

Sure just use a “post meta” field, and choose the date option.

The only thing to make sure is that dates are saved like 20150512 (YYYYMMDD) otherwise they will not work.

Is it possible to change it editting the plugin?

Nope, this is not the WordPress date format, it is the way the date gets saved/stored in the database in the custom post field – it has nothing to do with how it looks to the end user.

I’m not sure how you are creating your date field, but I know you can change the “save format” of date fields in ACF (advanced custom fields) as well as other plugins.

For the date field, you could try setting “date input format” to “timestamp” or if following my advice above you would set the field to “YYYYMMDD”
