Hi, loving the plugin, it’s saved me so much hassle with my latest project.

My filters are set up and functioning great…but.

I really need to show my resultes (displayed as short code just under) as just images from the portfolio (the featured image).

    Also

I would like the results to be displayed in three columns.

    Any help is much appreciated.

Here’s the link to the page in question for you to look at. http://cuninaitalian.com/gallery/

    Hi Michael

Follow the instructions here – http://www.designsandcode.com/wordpress-plugins/search-filter-pro/docs/#docs-new-ajax – to copy the template files in to your theme – this means you can start customising your layout.

Once that is done, you can treat it just like any other WP template, or template part – so in terms of what you want to achieve a quick google turned these up:

    https://www.nosegraze.com/display-wordpress-posts-2-3-columns/
    http://www.wpbeginner.com/wp-themes/how-to-create-a-grid-display-of-post-thumbnails-in-wordpress-themes/

Unfortunately customising layouts/style is not included in support.

    Thanks

    Thanks for the help.

I’m actually trying to uses a portfolio template from the Avada theme to display my results. Unfortunately it doesn’t seem to be working.

I have coped the ‘results.php’ file over the correct way.

I’m asking it to display as shortcode on the same page. I have also used the code from’portfolio-three-column.php’ avada template and transferred that to the newly created results.php fle.

However when going back to my site and clicking to search for an item nothing happens.

I would just like to display the results as the themes template would normally.

    Please help. I’m truly stuck!

    Hey Michael

If you would like to use a regular template from your theme then you cannot use the “shortcode” method for displaying results – you must use the archive method to use a regular WP template – then you can specify the filename of the template you wish to use.

Avada however doesn’t work out of the box using this method and you must follow the instructions here:

    http://www.designsandcode.com/wordpress-plugins/search-filter-pro/faqs/#h-bad-template

    Thanks
