Hi Trevor
sorry for not contacting you yet. Work has been very busy. I have read about custom fiels and custom taxonomies and now know that I need custom taxonomies as all the keywords I will use are across all posts and not unique data to an individual post (which would be the case with a custom field). So the filters I would have for the search would be
Destinations (category)
Accommodation (custom taxonomy)
Criteria (tags)
Price (custom taxonomy)My question now is : can I have 2 custom taxonomies in the form?
Trevor(Private) July 10, 2016 at 9:43 am #50725Hi, yes you can 🙂
I wrote a blog post about this for the other company I work for:
https://ultimatumtheme.com/data-centric-wordpress-website-design/
That software has its own built-in equivalent of CPT UI.
Anonymous(Private) July 24, 2016 at 9:24 pm #52044Hi Trevor
so I added some custom taxonomies and the search form doesn’t show all the keywords under the new taxonmy. See what I mean here
http://fromthepoolside.com/advanced-search/Am I doing something wrong? The admin login I gave you the other day still works so feel free to go have a look in the backend.
Thank you
Anonymous(Private) July 25, 2016 at 8:45 pm #52145OK so I have now found out that only when I click on the “reset” button (which I call “start again”) can I view all the choices. How can I make it so that the choices appear are there on the page when people just click to it (i.e. when they click on fromthepoolside.com/advanced-search/).
Also on that form, I can only select a choice in the first field “destinations” and the results immediately load below. What i want is for the user to choose something in each of the field or two of the fields and see the results only when they click on “search”.
