    Hello,

    I am using Elementor post widget and the fitler works but when i filter where i know the output is empty it shows the previous posts. Is there a way to show no posts when i filter to an empty category?

    It is Elementor that controls what happens in a no results found situation. I would advise restricting the possibility of this happening by removing any empty results terms from the search form. To do this, in the General settings tab:

    Set Auto Count (both settings) to ON

    And then in the Form UI:

    In each field set Hide Empty to ON?

    However, if you have a general text search field, it will always be possible to get no results.

    Thanks. It works without Ajax. Is there a code we can use to echo some css when the results are empty?

    There is not, as that part of the output is handled by Elementor, not Search & Filter.
