Hi,
It’s just come to our attention that this plugin doesn’t take in multiple sections with the Download Categories and show those results, it only seems to allow a single category to be selected and displayed in the search results.
Is this correct, or is there a way to make it show results based on selecting multiple categories at once since it allows multiple category fields/sections to be added to the Search & Filter form? We’re about to launch our site in 5 days and we need this feature. Any ideas of how we can get this to work?
Thanks,

In the settings it’s set to search in Downloads for the post type, and under the “Tags, Taxonomies” option it detects the Download Tags when searching to include or exclude specific tags. But it definitely doesn’t work in the Search.

Yeah you can only use tag and category fields once, and also taxonomy (specific).
Your download categories are just a a custom taxonomy and not WP categories.
To get around this issue you should create a new custom taxonomy for each field you wish to display:

In the next version of S&F I will be making the UI easier to use, and this includes disabling fields which should not be added more than once.
PS the taxonomy plugin in the link above does not work well – I would now recommend this one:
https://wordpress.org/plugins/custom-post-type-ui/
Or suggest adding it via code to your functions.php.
Thanks
