The reset button isn’t a back button as such, as it does not know which page the search came from (assuming that the results page is not the search page), for example, you could have the search in the header of every page. What is does is set each field to all values and reloads the results page.
Anonymous(Private) April 17, 2016 at 6:40 am #42982Right. The problem is that the behavior of the search window changes for me and my site. It doesn’t truly reset the fields.
If you notice in the gif I posted, the first time I go through the search, S&F correctly filters down the results.
The second time S&F doesn’t filter down the results. This causes improper results to populate as a result.
Does that make sense?
The only reason I mentioned if there was a hack for me to make the reset fields button return to the homepage, was because if I manually refresh the page. The behavior resets properly. Maybe I should remove the reset field link, and create a button image that says reset search that reloads the homepage…
I’m open to any ideas or advice you have. Thanks for the response trevor.
