    Hi,

I’m reaching out to see if it’s possible to get some assistance with the Search & Filter Pro Plugin.

A website I’m building for a client includes a section for products and a section for product downloads. The functionality we want to achieve is to link directly from the product page to the downloads page which contains the search and filter pro plugin. The downloads page then has the product type pre filtered when the user accesses the page. I followed an example of accessing search data via the following link:

    https://searchandfilter.com/documentation/accessing-search-data/?sfref=dc#Get_the_Search_Term

Whilst the pre-search filtering is working, I’m having an issue with the ‘Reset Button’. Upon clicking the reset button the search resets the form however the Search term is not clearing from the input field which is causing and issue when the user attempts to select another category.

    Product Page:
    http://joule-redesign.weareopen.ie/joule_products/cylinder/
(Scroll down to accordion section and open product accordion. Proceed to click Knowledge Hub)

    Pre-filtered Search Term
    http://joule-redesign.weareopen.ie/knowledge-centre/?_sft_wpdmcategory=cylinder&_sf_s=Direct%20Solar

One solution I can think of is to change the reset button to be a custom button which refreshes the the Knowledge Centre page. I’ve noticed that it’s not possible to add a custom button to the Search and Filter Pro form.

Would it be possible to receive some support?

The method you describe is how I would do it (a fake reset button which simply reloads the page without any query parameters), but as you observe, you can only place this either before or after the form. Custom form elements will come in V3 of the plugin.
