Remove Divi shortcode from search display results?

How do I prevent the Divi shortcode from displaying within the excerpt on the results page and show only the actual content from the page?

E.g. see this screenshot: I want to display only the highlight text and not all the [shortcode] stuff around it:

Please mark this post as resolved. I’ve figured out a workaround: simply enable ‘excerpts’ from Divi theme > options and then manually add an excerpt to each post/page. The results displayed is then the excerpts and not the Divi shortcodes.

Also note that we have a workaround for Divi to support their blog grid directly as the results container. That means it then also supports their masonry like script. Search this forum for:

filter_next_query salvattore divi
