If you remove them the search cannot work. WordPress uses ‘get queries’ to pass search variables like this. We are looking to find an alternative method to pass the search terms and hope we can do something in the future, but for now, they must stay.

Why in the free version there is no slug added and why in the pro version is there a slug added?

It’s weird that the pro version of this plugin is creating a weird url query which results in a not found page.

How can we take out the slug that is added automaticaly or can we use rewrite to take out the slug?

My previous answer sort of covered this. However, for clarity. The Pro and non-pro are completely different plugins, and work very differently.

    So

    Q. How can we take out the slug that is added automatically
    A. You can’t, yet. We are working towards a version of Pro that doesn’t need the query strings.

    Q. Can we use rewrite to take out the slug?
    A. No. It would stop the plugin from working.

    Hi Trevor,

Thanks for your fast answer. But I must say it’s the first time that I use a pro plugin that constrain you and the free version don’t.

I can create my filter easily with the free version and end up on the good page. The slug that the pro version is forcing you to have is really not something I want in my url.

Unfortunatly, i don’t know if this pro plugin is worth. I see all the nice add ons, the ajax filter. But it’s all goodies it’s not forcing you to inject the url.

Or I don’t understand in what this pro version is really so different in the way it works. I don’t see why someone would use it. Except for the all goodies that have parameters.

I’m building a commerce site. http://www.examplesite.com/specificTaxonomy/products_cat his what I want to have a url. No slug added.

I do understand, but, at this time, that is not possible.
