Hi guys, on our colchestertreasurehunting.com website we have Relevanssi set up and it works well but we bought a Search&Filter Pro licence so we could add filtering to the results.
What is the best way to do this? The site is built using Genesis framework with Dynamik child theme and uses ACF Pro for the Coin and Artefact CPTs.
There doesn’t seem to be (or need for) a specific search results page with Relevanssi – it just displays the results and paginates them.
On a local server I tried setting up Search&Filter Pro on its own with the shortcode top right in a text widget and a search-results page which sort of works but the pagination is just next and previous and I’m not sure where to add the doshortcode within the Dynamik environment.
So my question is what’s the optimum set up between these two plugins so we can display filtered results (ideally with images) on a paginated page (like the existing live site).
Sorry for the long post, had more to say than I thought!Trevor(Private) November 8, 2016 at 10:33 pm #69321Hi, the appearance of results depends on the Display Results Method chosen in the form setup. The Shortcode method will use the (customizable) results.php template file that is in the plugin template folder (you should put a copy in your theme folder in a sub-folder called
search-filter
).Depending on the HTML/JS used in the desired layout, this can be simple to do (for me).
If you use any other results display method, it will use the theme templates to display the results. The Archive method (can) most closely mimic the normal theme search page.
