I bought the pro version and it did not work for me like the free version because the pro version reads only shortcodes like [download] and i have custom php page for downloads.
Alright if there is a way to do it, let’s start from the basic’s step by step. I might as well use the shortcode [download] and create a separate template for it, but i’ll be facing a new problem the view of the products and the player which i doubt ajax will read mp3 files after search refresh, which will create new script problems for all browsers and devices..

    1. How to to add class on the pro ver like on the free ver? I tried to do the same thing like on free ver and it did not work. I have my own css style for select.
1.1 or How to edit css file if there is on pro ver? and will it read and place auto my custom select script.

    2. How to create filter by price , popularity, sales and date.

    3. When i have setup everything my categories displays 0 products and whatever i choose on the search filter it does not show anything just 404 page nothing found.

    4. Is there a way to make S&F Pro like the free version which can be placed in a php custom page and read php custom downloads code.

P.s the last thing: S & F Pro has so many options and visualization which i do not need, i need more basic like the free version just plane code.

    Hey there

Ok, so if you have come from the free version, and you would like to use a template from your them to display the results, first you must follow the instuctions here:

    https://www.designsandcode.com/documentation/search-filter-pro/search-results/as-an-archive/

You want to display results as archive (much like the original S&F)

    To answer your questions:

    1) This is not an option, however S&F uses the class .searchandfilter on the form, so you can use this instead in your CSS

    2) These fields can all be created using “post meta” fields, but first you must add the data to your search form. Check the docs here on how to add this custom type of data to your posts:

    https://www.designsandcode.com/documentation/search-filter-pro/getting-started/adding-new-fields/#Adding_Post_Meta_Custom_Fields

    3) I’m hoping this will no longer be an issue if you use the first link I sent you and setup as archive

    4) I’m not sure I follow this, lets first fix the othe rthings and we can go from there.

    Thanks

    Hey,

OKay, let’s start from the beginning.

I’ve done the documentation/search-filter-pro/search-results/as-an-archive/everything is working but the results show all products ๐Ÿ™ what i did is created a new template where the search results will appear… placed the code on the new template <?php echo do_shortcode( '[downloads]' ); ?> , placed search and filter shortcode on a widget layout as [searchandfilter id="****"] … not sure what i’m missing here..

And 1 bug i have found: when i do the search results and then press home page it gives me dirty link and does not show my homepage only after a second refresh of home page.

One more thing i placed this code: action=”prep_query” … and the filter options disappeared from the frontend web site , tried to remove it and it ain’t coming back cleared my cache also..

I guess a refund will work i hope you have my details correct and could send me my money back… i’ve lost time , i have no more time in figuring out how to make it work… i’ll just keep the free version.

    Hi Henry

I’m afraid we are not open on weekends, which is why you have not received an answer since your last message late on Friday (we’re based in the UK).

I appreciate you’ve lost time on the project, but we do state this on the plugin homepage and the support forum home – https://www.designsandcode.com/support/

I’ve also now added a message to this affect on the sidebar on the right of these forums.

Can you provide login details and I’ll take a look at the site?

    Thanks

    I’ll keep you informed.

I’m based in UK too ๐Ÿ™‚

    Cool glad its working Henry.

Can I ask what the initial confusion was, or if you have any recommendation to make anything more clear for other users?

    Thanks!
