I have tried searching up and down on this forum but cant find a solution on this.
What I am having trouble with:1. I have tried every class/id for ajax container and pagination with no success, resulting my filter checkboxes and options disappear on results. I may suspect the reason is virtual composer.
2. When filtering the parent and children items with checkboxes such as (Where “(X)” mark on a checkbox):
Ford (X)
-> Avolon (X)
-> Transit ( )
-> Excrusion (X)I dont have a option for just displaying the selected children terms with parent checked, unless I activate “Include Children in Parents?” but then you will need to uncheck parent checkbox for not including the unchecked children term “Transit”. In total I want to expand the hiarchy only when parent term is checked and if one need to uncheck parent if one choose to go for specific children terms then it can be a bit confusing.
Trevor(Private) December 16, 2019 at 3:14 pm #229165Are you sure that link is correct? It redirects to the ShortURL Home page for me?
Are you using WPBakery PageBuilder? If so, we have an integration addon for that, but I would need to know which version of their plugin you are using.
I think I understand what you are asking about the Parent Child selection.
You want to hide the children and be able to open them by selecting the Parent, but that then becomes a ‘choice’, which you do not want to do. Did I understand that correctly? If I did, the functionality to have the children hide/reveal is not something we offer, but if you have a third party solution in place, that could indeed cause that problem, depending on how it was written.

This one should work!: shorturl.at/nNT47Yes, WPBakery ver. 6.0
No, I do want the parent item to become a choice. But my problem is that when it becomes a choice, all children terms under parent are displayed even tough you only select 3 of 10 children terms. So you have to unselect the parent term again to show only the 3 children term you selected.
Trevor(Private) December 17, 2019 at 1:52 pm #229250From that link I can see that it is Page Builder, yes.
The layout is unusual, it doesn’t look like a normal Page Builder element. It is using Isotope(Masonry), which should (usually) only be used for multi column layouts, which yours is not. If you have a means to switch that off, I would.
How did you link the form to the results, as I see that the form is set to custom mode?
If I had been doing this, I would have placed a text block just above the results with this shortcode in:
[searchandfilter id="2147" action="filter_next_query"]
