I updated the plugin to the latest version, but with a little negative outcome. When I try to update my modules the site becomes slow, and very often goes Internal Server Error.

I looked at my error log and appear these problems:

[Thu Sep 24 16:58:35 2015] [error] (4)Interrupted system call: FastCGI: comm with server “/home/santeodoro.it/usr/local/wrappers/php5-fcgi” aborted: select() failed, referer: http://www.santeodoro.it/wp-admin/edit.php?post_type=search-filter-widget

    Can you help me?
    Thanks,
    Davide

    Hey Davide

Sorry to hear your having troubles.

Ok so first thing that may have enabled itself is the “auto count” option.

Disable this and let me know if you site is faster? I’m assuming the only pages that slowed down were ones with your S&F form?

Secondly, the problem you mention above – it shows that the error is occuring when you are on the Search & Filter admin page.

Is it slow or problematic when using it, or is it when saving / updating a Search & Filter form?

    Thanks

Thanks to the swift response. I have not enabled automatic counting on the site, and the problem occurs while saving the search form. Upload long and often freezes going Internal Server Error

Ahhh ok, I think what is happening is whenever you update the search form some elements of rebuilding the cache are completed – and this is causing stress on your server – a couple of users have mentioned this but 99% of servers seem to be able to handle these processes.

I will look at adding in another option which slows down the caching and send a copy across for you to test ๐Ÿ™‚

Probably in the next couple of days – I’ll be getting to work on it right away.

    Thanks

    Hi there

I’m still working on this – I’m overhauling how the caching works quite a lot now so its not a simple task anymore :/

Still hoping for the end of this week.

    Thanks
