    Hi,

    Is it possible to create a results page based on the search results with the categories pre-selected

    Example:

    I have categories as per below

    Council
    – Companion Animals
    – Finance
    – Governance
    – New Councils
    – Programs

    I have a search box that is for Companion Animals

    Users searches in this search box and results are displayed on a new page displaying all posts with category Companion Animals – Filter is selected as Council / Companion Animals

    User wants to expand their search and also include Governance category so instead of doing a new search, they can just tick Governance as well.

    You can only do this using some PHP code. This post has a snippet that shows an example:

    Note the caveat that it will only affect results after the search is made.

    Hi Trevor,

    I would need to do the same for multiple different search forms. I have 7 different forms on the site so far, and I would like them to simply filter my selections.

    Is this code going to work?
