Hey Trevor,
Jake again from this ticket.
I did a bit more testing after our call this morning where we ARI Adminer to delete the duplicate entries for that custom field.
Well, I’m having that same issue again.
I will send a video over in a separate private reply showing myself going to ARI Adminer to view the duplicate fields.
Any suggestions on what might be causing this? Maybe some other plugin that I have installed that has a cache feature?
Trevor(Private) January 21, 2019 at 3:12 pm #199504I had a look in to this, and it seems like the Custom Fields Suite plugin you are using is causing this issue. It is a free plugin, and does not get a lot of support and has not been updated in a while. I suspect that it has issues with WP5. Is there a reason you chose that plugin?
I prefer to use ACF free version, as that does receive support and regular updates.
What appears to be happening is that, instead of replacing the value in the post meta table, it simply adds a new value, in effect leaving the old one in place.

Only reason I was using Custom Fields Suite was because the custom fields could be used with the Learn Dash plugin.
But looks like ACF can also be incorporated into Learn Dash. I just did a quick check using ACF, looks like that might be the way to go (worked on my first test).
I’ll use that, I think that should do it.
