The only way of doing this for now is putting a meta value in a field for all posts, and having a key field value that you exclude by. I think in ACF you could even do this by way of a default value (any existing posts you would have to add the value by hand, but new posts would have the default set).
True. It’s a bit of a faff, especially as I’d need to hide that field for specific post types so clients don’t actually mess with it/change it/put any values in it and screw up the results… I don’t use ACF, but it’s easy enough to sort manually and add defaults. Annoying that I need to, but a good tip, thanks.
