Post Meta Choice – Import Manual List from CSV?

When using post meta search filed, and going by choice, you have the option to have a manual entry of values.

Is it possible to import this value list from something like a CSV file? I would need to import 10k values into this.

Is it possible to do a meta value “contains” instead of an exact match?

Are you wanting a dropdown list of values in the field in the front end form, as 10k values would be very long and not at all use friendly. Using a CSV to import (or any import method) the manual choices is not possible, sorry. You could construct the list using this filter:

Or are you considering using a text field to be able to search that Post Meta? To help you control the search better, on the form’s Advanced settings tab you will see 2 settings for Relevanssi.

You would need to install and activate the free Relevanssi plugin as well.

Then set Relevanssi up and build its index (make sure it is indexing the desired post types AND the categories/tags/taxonomies/custom fields that you want to search).
