    1. Can you remind me of the current search page URL, and give me an example search to do so that I can see this?

    2. I can give you custom CSS when I see the form.

    The URL is https://ci.ioe.ac.uk/mandarin-resources-for-schools/

    1. If you check one of the category boxes, it will refresh the page and you will see the filtered posts by category but the search form will disappear and it won’t even allow you to go back to the previous page (the one with the form on it). E.g. when I tick the Qualifications check box it redirects me to this page https://ci.ioe.ac.uk/mandarin-resources-for-schools/?_sft_mars_category=qualification where there is no form displayed and it won’t let me go back to the previous page either (back button doesn’t seem to be working). Hope this makes sense?

    2. As you can see I have managed to get the form horizontal with the help of the custom CSS plugin however it is not as neat as I’d like it to be. All the checkboxes aren’t perfectly aligned with their respective category and they are all kind of squashed together – I need to space them apart a bit.

    Thanks very much,
    Meher

Again I will focus for now on the functionality. Are you using the Post grid plugin integration? If you are, the Ajax Container is wrong.

    It should be:

    #post-grid-171067 and not #main

Thanks Trevor – that seems to have solved it. Now the results are displayed on the same page as the form.

Can you please help with the customisation now?

I need to know where the sub category terms need to be in relation to their parents, and how does the user know they are the children? Do you want them aligned to the left, with more space between them?

The parent and child categories are the same as in the S&F form and as they are displayed on the form. If there is a way to have the parent categories in bold maybe and remove checkboxes from parent categories so we know they are parents and the children have checkboxes only – that would clarify it?

I would like them aligned to the left as they are now but yes, with more space between them. At the moment the checkboxes are right next to the previous category and one or two checkboxes are not next to the categories they belong to (e.g. Festivals and International Events)

Also, on mobile, almost an inch and a half on left side of the search form seems to get cut off. It only displays fully when the screen is flipped horizontally – is this fixable?

Ok, thanks for taking a look.

Suddenly the “reset” button has gone a bit funny and goes small when I try to click it, do you know what might be causing this?

Sorry Trevor but I can’t get the checkboxes on the form to stay with their categories – they keep moving. This will be very confusing to the users so I really need your help to sort this out please! This is the only thing I need to fix – otherwise the form is good to go.

Many thanks for all your support.
