Please excuse the simpleness of my question. I am new to categories and taxonomy and post meta fields. This is my site http://www.caburkedesign.com/deltasportshalloffame/hall_of_fame/
I would like to filter and search from 5 parent categories: year, sport, project name, champion, inductee. These are already setup under the project category in the theme. Should I also set up custom fields in each project page so that the child categories will become the drop down. This is what I am attempting to achieve:http://aurorashof.ca/whos-in-the-hall/Anonymous(Private) April 22, 2015 at 11:10 pm #15702ok nevermind all that above. I see where all the categories are, I just didn’t realize you clicked on the spy-glass icon. Now the problem is the plugin will not recognize the categories under the post type ‘project’ pages only the uncategorized from the post type ‘post’ pages (which I am not using). I have clicked exclude uncategorized under the first categories, and then under the second categories which list all my project categories, I have ticked off the categories to include under the search and filter for sport. The search form UI is a category one. input type is dropdown..ok nevermind, I now realized it is a taxonomy search form UI. ok good grief. Now I just have to figure out placing it in the filterable portfolio section. Never easy being a beginner.
