That type of result weirdness is sometimes caused by the S&F cache not having been rebuilt, or being in the process of re-building. Did you check in the search form setup to see what the cache was doing?

Yep, it said the cache was good to go, but I clicked on rebuild cache anyway just to be sure that wasn’t causing the problem, and waited until it was complete before testing again. I also did a reindex in the Relevanssi plugin to be sure that wasn’t part of the problem, but even after both steps the results were still way off.

Also, on the beta after unzipping it, in the search-filter-pro.php, it still has 2.1.2 as the version number – I figured that would get changed before release date, but just thought I’d mention it….

Something weird is going on, but Ross is away for the (long holiday) weekend. The plugin has worked for all but 3 users I have given it to. And (including you in the 3) all have had the same sort of issues. That’s why I need to get Ross involved.

    If it helps:

I use a template file for results, not shortcode, because the template displays data that is in a number of custom fields. The template is specified in the filter’s configuration, as is the proper results container, and the pagination is within the results container. I have also checked and the correct pagination class is also in the configuration, although it also worked fine in the past when we had the default of .pagination a in there.

No changes were made to the filter’s settings, nor the template, nor the Theme, and pagination was previously working perfectly – it only has stopped working after updating both WP and the plugin.

We use Relevanssi, but have changed our ordering so results display in title order, not really by relevance, so possibly we don’t need that plugin any longer – I will deactivate it and keep testing, but it seems unlikely that Relevanssi is the culprit anyway.

I’m keeping my fingers crossed that we’ll get it figured out soon!

    Hey Trisha

I’ve just sent you a version which should fix some pagination issues 🙂

Let me know how you get on.

The other issues you describe seem quite odd, but hoping they are related to your cache rebuilding in the background.

    Thanks

Hey Ross, just double-checking to be sure you got my email reply with the results of my testing with the version you emailed me…if not I can either resend it or post it here. 🙂

    Hi Trisha

Can you supply admin login and ftp details by private reply for Ross to use?
