So we are going to create a new updated site for a customer. They currently have search & filter pro installed on their live site.
We copied the live site to a staging environment (we use WPEngine for hosting)
However, on our staging site we cant get the plugin to work.We have a dropdown filter and a search field activated. And no matter what is selected or what is searched for, nothing happens. The filter/search fields and all Woocommerce products/categories etc are a mirror of their live site. We are only working on a new design.
The search-string is added correctly at the end of the URL, but thats it. No product searched for or filtered for appears.
Btw, how do I create a private topic with login details to our site?

Two possibilities come to mind.
#1. Depending on how you migrate, or which tool you use, sometimes are forms get corrupted. The way to check is to make a new form and use that instead.
#2 If the previous installation was NOT on WP Engine, but the new one is, then see this post:

Working with the WooCommerce shop page when that pages shows categories instead of products is more difficult, as our plugin assumes that you want to show products.
