Hi,

I have the plugin set up with a pair of shortcodes (in my custom WP block via do_shortcode) and it’s working beautifully for the filter with AJAX. However, the search box always returns “No results found”.

I can’t see anything obvious. Maybe it is the issue mentioned here:

I have added to the wp_config file, but no change in behaviour, unfortunately.

That is most odd. It must be another plugin or your theme, or maybe some code in the functions.php files doing this. Or maybe the setup of the post type (to exclude it from searches).

Can you try using Relevanssi on your site? On the form’s Advanced settings tab you will see 2 settings for Relevanssi.

The documentation for this is here:

You would need to install and activate the free Relevanssi plugin as well.

Then set Relevanssi up and build its index (make sure it is indexing the desired post types, custom fields AND any taxonomy that you want to search).

Thank you for the suggestions, I found the problem in the functions.php file – previous developer had a whole lot of custom code modifying search results and functionality. Once that is removed, your plugin returns results perfectly.
