    What I suspect is that either a function in your theme or in one of the plugins is using pre_get_posts() and is over-riding our filter arguments. That would explain why the counts are zero, but you see the posts when you first go to the search page (no filter applied at that point).

    Dear Trevor,

    Thanks for the suggestion, but this issue was with single site as well, multi-site conversion has just happened (to be specific 1 jan 2018) ..but the issue is not with multi-site..there is something very silly thing happening here which any of could find ..just i had looked so much into it that i am repetitive in findings and got nothing..

    just a fresh approach would do the favor.

    I believe if Ross can look into it we can identify this issue.

    Ready to give him FTP on his specified time
