Newly added posts ordering separately from older posts.

Hello,

I’m using S&F Pro to filter a custom post type on my site. All the posts in this CPT were created before I installed and configured a search form. All was working well until we went to add new posts today.

I have the Default Order set to Title in Ascending order, then Name (Post Slug) in ascending order for the secondary sort order.

It’s ordering these correctly, but in groups (original posts and new posts). Here is an example of what I mean, I’m just going to use people’s names for this example’s sake. Here is my original list of posts, in the order they appeared, which was what I wanted.

Adam, Bryan, Chad, Jennifer, Mike, Peter, Tom and William.

Thats exactly how we wanted it. But since the site launched we have decided to add Laura, Fred and Nikki. It will order these newly added posts, but will order just these additional ones separately and adds them to the beginning of the list. Both on initial page load and when filtered. So now our posts are in this order:

Fred, Laura, Nikki, Adam, Bryan, Chad, Jennifer, Mike, Peter, Tom and William.

You will notice that the three added post launch are ordering alphabetically but separately from and being added before the original posts.

I’ve tried rebuilding the cache, changing sort orders and re-saving the form. I’m doing this in staging environment that doesn’t have any server caching or CDN.

We have a few different custom post types using standard archive templates where the ordering was set in the register_post_type args and is ordering correctly. So not sure if it’s an issue with S&F Pro or if there is something else going on.
