Multiple taxonomies not working together

I have a search field here with 2 basic dropdowns, one for a category and one for a custom taxonomy, and i have the relationship set to AND, but it’s being really buggy.

When I search ALL categories and a year, I get correct results.

However, if I try to search for the Category, even if All Years is set, I get very incorrect results, however, the number of results seems to be correct at the top of the page. Any idea what I’m doing wrong? Thanks.

Nevermind, I just realized we have sticky posts, so it was adding those regardless of category. Once I set it to ignore those, we were good to go. Thanks!
