We are using Search and Filter on some custom-posts (products). These products have an ACF relationship field to another custom-post (product-categories). When we add a product-category drop-down for filtering. It auto-populates with both the English and French fields as opposed to just the appropriate language. This seems to only be happening on the french pages… not the english ones.

Do you mean that the field is a Relational Taxonomy field? Can you describe why you are doing this instead of just using the product-category taxonomy as a field? I presume there is a benefit to you by doing this.

It’s a relational post-type, because we needed more functionality than a typical taxonomy.

I think that the problem is that our support for ACF relational fields is limited to fetching the Post/Term ID and Title, and this relationship will not have been translated (the terms may be, but not the actual relationship). Looking at this Google search, it appears we are not alone:
